A mechanic doesn't review a car by admiring the paint. They put it on the ramp, check the same parts in the same order every time, and write down what they find. We do that to casino sites.
What we are, precisely
United Table Mechanics is an independent comparison and review site covering online casinos licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. We are a small editorial team. We are not a casino, we hold no gambling licence, we operate no games, we take part in no wagering, and no operator we cover owns any part of us. When you play, you play at the operator's site under the operator's terms — we were only ever the map, never the road.
Our reviews follow eight fixed checks — from lobby depth and live-table quality through to how quickly support answers a question we already knew the answer to. Every operator gets the same list in the same order, and scores are re-checked quarterly because lobbies rot faster than opinions do. The current results live on the comparison page.
How the money works
Operators pay us commission when a reader signs up through one of our links — the standard affiliate arrangement, described plainly in our affiliate disclosure. It costs you nothing and it funds everything here. What it does not buy is a score: rates across operators are close enough that shading a review would be poor business as well as poor ethics, and our lowest-scored operator carries an affiliate link identical to our highest. If that maths ever changed, the honest move would be to say so on this page, and we would.
What we refuse to do
We don't cover unlicensed sites, whatever they offer. We don't write about payments, deposits or withdrawals — that is between you and a licensed operator. We don't publish invented statistics, fake testimonials or urgency theatre. And we don't frame gambling as a way to make money, because over time, mathematically, it isn't one — see the safer gambling page for the tools that keep it entertainment.
Independent
No operator owns us, employs us, or previews a review before it runs. Complaints about our coverage go to us; complaints about an operator go to the operator, then the regulator.
Affiliate-funded
Commission on referred sign-ups is our only revenue. No banner deals, no sponsored scores, no paid placement — the ranking order is editorial, always.
